The treatment samples and procedure descriptions contain information for the professional public, in particular doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, employees of health insurance companies, authorities, hospital management and professional associations.
Treatment patterns should not be confused with medical advice or medical opinions. Readers who are not medical experts are asked to consult only with physicians and other health care professionals regarding their specific situation.

Treatment patterns contain statements on the general course of treatment. In individual cases, they must be adapted to the specific requirements to a considerable extent. In this respect, they can be compared to a tailor's pattern or an engineer's blueprint: they serve as a working template for hospital staff to configure a treatment process. They facilitate cooperation, support the workflow and can be used as a basis for calculation. They cannot replace the considered judgment of a clinically active physician in the selection and implementation of a treatment procedure.

Treatment patterns should not be confused with guidelines from professional societies or other recognized institutions. Guidelines should contain statements on the requirements to be placed on treatment procedures, whether the statements are scientifically justified and which aspects should be taken into account. Treatment patterns contain instructions on how these requirements must be implemented in order to achieve the objectives.

Treatment patterns always represent only one of several methods. The examples presented here come from several authors from different clinics. They do not always coincide with the opinion of Dr. U. Paschen QM-Beratung. If the copyright is represented here by Dr. U. Paschen QM-Beratung, it must not be inferred from this that the copyright lies solely with Dr. U. Paschen QM-Beratung.

The treatment samples are training material. They serve as inspiration and examples for colleagues in medical quality assurance. Without the prior written consent of Dr. U. Paschen QM-Beratung, they may not be sold, distributed at internal training courses or otherwise placed on the market.

Dr. U. Paschen QM-Beratung accepts no liability for the consequences of the use of treatment samples.
