For each patient, one person must always be named as the contact person through whom the entire treatment is integrated. This involves solving problems such as different professional responsibilities, decision-making authority and the transfer of responsibility from one doctor to another. Liability issues must be taken into account.<br>Responsibilities must also be regulated in the event of absences such as holidays or illness.<br>The person responsible must be named in the medical records.<br>Hospital treatment should always be coordinated by a doctor who can be reached by the patient within a reasonable time. The coordinating doctor does not have to be the \"treating\" doctor.
