2.4.04 Pain therapy Estimated reading: 1 minute 28 views Authors Aim and purpose Patients are asked about pain on admission. The survey should take into account the acute situation, daytime dependency (e.g. during sleep, special activities), localization, duration, frequency and intensity. The assessment is repeated at fixed intervals. An appropriate response is initiated in the event of pain. A hospital-wide pain therapy concept should be developed. Responsibilities must be regulated. The concept should follow a guideline. An interdisciplinary pain service is preferred. Acute pain management concepts for appropriate post-operative pain therapy are introduced and implemented. The recording of the findings should be specified.
