Description of the process Personal items Safekeeping form (form for patient property) must be completed by the carer on every patient admission. Certificate of deposit consists of three copies:White carbon copy = original, remains at the patient's place or after transfer / discharge in red folder green carbon copy = remains at the patient's place or after transfer / discharge in red folder blue carbon copy = original, remains at the patient's place, is given to the ward or patient upon transfer/discharge against signature The custody slip is filed on the care sheet (transparent film on the right-hand side) Items brought in at a later date are added to the deposit slip according to date, type of item and signature of the responsible carer Valuables that are handed over to relatives during the stay must be completed on the safekeeping slip with the date, type of item and signature of the responsible carer.
