Goal and purpose

Search for guidelines from recognised institutions, in particular medical societies (Association of the German Medical Societies AWMF). Each discipline uses the criteria in 4.3.20 to determine which institutions are recognised. The representatives of the discipline participate in or follow the development of guidelines. If guidelines have been formally adopted, it must be ensured that the hospital is aware of any changes.
