2.1.04 Origin analysis

Goal and purpose

Knowledge of the origin of the hospital's patients or individual departments. Assessment of the scope of the hospital's own care (care area). Preparation of a supply analysis. Estimation of transport routes.

An analysis is carried out annually

Description of the

Preparation

Request a "hit list of patients' places of residence". This list can be obtained from Division 2, Service Documentation and Statistics Department, tel. Request after consultation with the Medical Director via e-mail.

Execution

A list of postcodes from the service area with localities is created for the hospital, preferably by department: For example:

  • Fribourg
  • Tuttlingen
  • Waldkirch
  • Gundelfingen
  • Emmendingen
  • Kirchzarten
  • Baden-Baden
  • Donaueschingen
  • Denzlingen
  • Breisach

The absolute number of recordings and the percentage share are given for the locations. A differentiation of origin can be limited to individual areas, e.g. "Freiburg-Stadt" and "Freiburg-Umland"

Documentation

Request via e-mail. Report to the QMK. A copy is sent to the director of the department.
