2.2.06 Emergency admission

Goal and purpose

Regulations for the acceptance, assessment and possible hospitalisation of patients. In particular, the hospital's own options for emergency treatment must be critically considered in order to avoid any fault in accepting patients.

Scope of the initial assessment and prioritisation of treatment (triage)
Prioritisation in diagnostics
Immediate initiation of diagnostic and supportive measures and therapy, if necessary.
Measures for stabilisation in an emergency situation. Programme for preparing a transport.
Organisation of procedures for typical emergency situations (polytrauma, sleep attack, heart attack, diabetic coma, etc.) with procedures for taking over from the emergency doctor or ambulance service
Prioritisation of surgical measures (daily emergency list) in order to integrate emergency interventions into surgical planning.
Plans for referral to specialised treatment facilities (cooperation)
