3.2.23 Non-smoker protection

Goal and purpose

Management must take measures to effectively protect employees in workplaces and in hospital areas for patients and visitors from the health risks posed by tobacco smoke. Protective measures such as ventilation or the allocation of separate rooms are conceivable, but a general smoking ban or one that is restricted to individual areas will be unavoidable.
