Goal and purpose

In addition to their responsibility for medical quality, the department heads assume important tasks of the hospital management insofar as they relate to the area assigned to them. The tasks and responsibilities must be set out in a job description. If the department is managed by more than one person, their tasks and responsibilities should be clearly delineated.
