3.3.01 Central hygiene regulations Estimated reading: 2 minutes 322 views Authors 1 Purpose and objective Patients are exposed to the risk of infections in hospital. The aim of hospital hygiene is to prevent infections among patients and staff. This task is the responsibility of all hospital employees. It is the task of the management to inform all employees about the recognised rules of hygiene, to monitor compliance with them, to regularly check the effectiveness of the measures and to react quickly in the event of unusual incidents. The hospital management has created a special structure for this purpose, which is described here. Individual procedures are described in separate documents. 2 Scope of application The provisions of the hygiene regulations must be observed in all hospital departments, administrative, operational and other facilities and vocational training centres. The department heads, senior nursing staff and area managers ensure that employees are familiar with and understand these hygiene regulations and the departmental hygiene plans. New employees should be informed about the regulations when they are hired. Any changes should be explicitly pointed out. Instruction on the principles of hygiene and specific issues should be given at least once a year. This must be documented. The current version of the central hygiene regulations and the departmental hygiene plans are available to every employee in the QM handbook on the wards, functional areas and work areas.edit 3 Organisation Text of the VA 3.3.01 Central hygiene regulationsDownload Attachments 1. rules of procedure of the Hygiene CommissionDownload 2. training measures3. hospital hygienist 4. hygiene officerDownload Appointment of the hygiene officerDownload 5. hygiene specialist6. list of hygiene officers Next - 3.3 Hygiene 3.3.02 Control tasks in hygiene
