Purpose and goal

The hospital compiles lists of individual services organised by department. The list should also include service complexes such as "intensive care", "geriatric complex treatment", "admission of a patient to the hospital". The treatment procedures can be grouped according to diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and non-surgical procedures. The list of individual services can also be broken down by professional group or department.

All regularly performed services, organised by speciality A list of services is created for each clinic, department and institute. One list is labelled "general procedures". It contains procedures that are to be used in the same way throughout the hospital.

The services are allocated to specialist departments or service groups. A provisional grouping is used in Chapter 6 Treatment procedures.

All procedures are identified. They are categorised as diagnostic - therapeutic - nursing - laboratory - administrative.
