3.1.11 Conference for quality and risk management

Estimated reading: 1 minute 181 views Authors

1 Purpose and objective

To support the introduction and later the maintenance of the QM system, a conference of the various professional groups and departments should be set up that meets at regular intervals. The conference discusses the development and makes recommendations (advisory board).
The successful introduction of QM systems depends on well-functioning working groups. The depth of organisation of the committees will have to be geared to the size of the hospital. A central body that summarises all activities, the "Conference for Quality Management (KfQM)", should not be missing. Its task is to support the development of a comprehensive QM system for the hospital in an advisory capacity.

2 Scope of application

"Consultancy" as a mandate for a KfQM means that the members examine a topic from different angles and discuss it with each other in order to identify aspects that may initially have remained hidden. The KfQM can consult experts for advice on individual questions.
