1 Purpose and objective

In order to protect the public, some infectious diseases must be reported to the health authorities with the patient's name (mandatory reporting in accordance with Sections 6 and 7 IfSG). The suspicion of illness, the illness itself and death must be reported. According to § 7, the detection of pathogens must be reported.
