3.3.25 Prevention of nosocomial infections

Protective measures are recommended to prevent nosocomial infections. The specific protective measures are set out in the appendices.

Purpose and goal

Compliance with hygiene rules can prevent the development of nosocomial infections. Working methods have been developed for certain common infections in hospitals in order to reduce the risk for patients.

Preventive measures are presented for the following infections:
