3.4.15 Medical devices as loan or private devices

Goal and purpose

If medical devices are loaned to the hospital by companies or if private devices are used in the hospital, these also fall under the hospital's MP operator responsibility. Special regulations (loan agreements) are required.

Goal and purpose

Devices are not used to the same extent in all departments. Their use changes over time. This is why equipment in hospitals is often replaced or changes location for other reasons. This must be taken into account. In order to avoid leaving equipment unused, an equipment exchange system can be set up within the facility or with neighbouring hospitals.
