3.5.05 Selection of medical service providers

Goal and purpose

When procuring services such as laboratory, X-ray or therapy services, measures must be taken to ensure that the management is convinced of the stability of the services provided by the co-operating facilities. The careful documentation of the decision in favour of a medical service provider and considerations regarding its quality presentation should be part of the contractual agreements. The reasons for rejecting a co-operation should also be documented.
