Goal and purpose

The Central Admissions service provides services for the organisation, logistics and processing of inpatient admissions. It is responsible for emergency admissions with the shock room, outpatient clinics and admission ward. Its position in the hospital is described in a ZAD statute, including management, scope of services and coordination between the medical departments. The services are described in SOPs.

The CED is based on consensual cooperation between the departments. The management has the authority to issue instructions to the medical staff on call. It arranges transfers to the wards of the departments. Staff deployment planning is coordinated with the departments.
